Special Post: Love for Berryz Koubou

Today, March 3, 2015, Berryz Koubou will have their last concert before their hiatus. So I decided to make a special post about them today.

June 30, 2002, 15 girls were selected after the audition of Hello!Project kids. The 8 of them became the members of a new group called the Berryz Koubou (Berryz Workshop) which was announced at an event last January 14, 2004. They were Shimizu Saki, Tsugunaga Momoko, Tokunaga Chinami, Sudo Maasa, Natsuyaki Miyabi, Kumai Yurina, Sugaya Risako and Ishimura Maiha. They debuted onMarch 3, and started releasing singles, and have their own concert/live.

September 11, 2005, it was announced that Ishimura Maiha will graduate from both Berryz Koubou and Hello!Project to focus on her studies. She had her graduation on the last stage of their fall tour on October 2.

Time passed by, Berryz Koubou released 18 albums in all (8 normal albums, 3 best albums and 2 mini-albums). They also released 36 singles and 7 collaboration singles with Hello!Project All Stars, BeriKyuu, MoBeKiMaSu, BeKiMaSu, and with all Up-Front singers.

August 2, 2014, Captain announced during an H!P concert that Berryz Koubou will be on indefinite hiatus after their Spring 2015 to achieve their own personal goals. They will have their own final concert at Nippon Budokan on their 11th anniversary, which is today, March 3.

THIS TIME I WILL MENTION WHAT I LOVE ABOUT BERRYZ KOUBOU! (^____^)
Well, honestly, Berryz Koubou is my least favorite in Hello!Project, but it doesn't mean that I don't love them at all. There are some points about them that I really love, mostly is about their songs. I only knew some of their songs, and those are the following:

MY TOP 5 SONGS IN BK!
(a.k.a. TOP 5 MUSIC VIDEOS OF BK)
5.  Ai no Dangan
Well, this song sounds pretty powerful for me. Also their MV. Actually, I get attached to a song if the MV is well-made and also, if it complements to the video. LoLz. But of course, the song, the outfit and the video perfectly matched. Especially the time when they rode a big bike. It was a nice touch to their outfit.

4. Koi no Jubaku
I don't know, but I really love the songs that gives a strong feeling to the listeners. This is one of their childhood songs, and for me, it sounds mature for their age at that time, which is kind of special.

3. Heroine ni Narou Ka!?
This is one of their best songs. So on their previous songs and MVs, it might be the first one I really liked throughout the years (after Dakishimete Dakishimete was released). I kept on watching and listening and watching and listening to their song and MV. It totally made me feel crazy about it xD

2. Dakishimete Dakishimete
Another song that gave me a powerful feeling. One of their best songs at all times. I really got excited when this song was included in the list for the tribute we facilitated. I remember I started getting interested on Berryz Koubou since they released this single. Well, we all might noticed that there are cheap music videos made for some songs, not only in BK, but to the whole H!P. Which will be a major turn off to like a song. So I'm really glad that BK had this cool song with matched cool outfits and video.

1. Special Generation
Well, well. Who would never love this song? It's a really special song of Berryz Koubou. The energy mesmerizes throughout the whole song. As I watched their MV, it really have the fun feeling, and the Berryz Koubou feeling. The song might be simple, but the song really stood out. One of their childhood songs, and it still shines until now.

THE TRIBUTE FOR BERRYZ KOUBOU
It really became a tradition here in Chuu!Sugoi!Idol and in the Hello!Project fan page to have a tribute for someone graduating. So since Berryz Koubou will be going on indefinite hiatus soon.

Few months ago, we planned what we are going to do for the Berryz tribute. We opened the table for suggestions and some suggested to have a dance cover of their famous songs. And so, we opened a so-called audition for the ones who will do the dance cover. Fortunately, we finished it on time, and uploaded it online before the final day.

This video shows how fans adore and loved Berryz Koubou with all their heart. They participated to show in the world how amazing BK is. Though, we never wanted anyone to leave, or go on hiatus, but since this is reality, showing our love for the group in a short video would be very meaningful for Berryz Koubou. Well, I hope they will be able to see this video, so everyone! Don't forget to share this video until it reaches Berryz Koubou nee?

To Berryz Koubou,
Throughout the years, you've been inspiring many people, and even if you're going on hiatus, we will never forget how special you are. Thank you for everything and gambatte on reaching your goals in life! We will always be here to support you!

Berryz Koubou Hiatus Tribute Plan! (^___^)

Konnichiwa! It's now time to present our final tribute plan for Berryz Koubou's Hiatus!
Well, it's still quite a shock for me that they'll be having an indefinite hiatus (which sounds like a graduation) but anyways, just before they have their final concert before their hiatus, let's give them a present as a symbol of their hard work and inspiration they have given to us.

So here we go!
For this tribute, we will have a little twist! We did a sing and dance with photo tribute videos last time (Sayumi Michishige's Graduation Tribute), this time, we will have a full dance cover of their famous songs which will be done in a remix/medley, and for those who will not be doing the dance cover, worry not! you can also take part with it by sending a photo of you holding a paper with your message for BK. (more like a fansign ^_^)

But this time, also, we'll just make messages like "Gambatte Berryz Koubou!", "I <3 Berryz Koubou!", or "Thank you Berryz Koubou!",(either in Japanese or English is fine) short and meaningful. We don't want to make messages that are long and unreadable, since your photos will only be shown for 5 seconds max, viewers will not be able to read everything. It's up to you if what message you want to send for Berryz, as long as it's short and readable.

We made fans vote for the songs they want to include in the medley/remix for the tribute.
Here's the final list:
  • Anata Nashi de wa Ikite Yukenai
  • Special Generation
  • Dakishimete dakishimete
  • Cha Cha Sing
  • Futsuu, Idol 10nen Yatterannai Desho!?
  • Towa no Uta
Few days ago, we have opened a so-called "auditions" for those who wants to take part in the dance cover. Admin Miyo and I decided that we will only accept 5 groups since it might be difficult for us to edit the tribute afterwards, handling too many videos. Each continent will have a representative (N&S America, Asia, Europe, Australia and Africa). If, for example, there will be no representative from Africa, then we will have 1 more group from a continent.

For the meantime, there are already 3 groups who are officially in for doing the dance cover.

Here's the group who will officially do the dance cover tribute
Pastel☆Girls (Europe)

Lumina Scarlet (Asia)

Miracle A.N. St. Berryz (Asia)

So, for those who want to join the dance cover, don't hesitate to stop by in our page Hello!Project Facebook Fanpage and send us the following:
  1.  a sample video of your group doing a dance cover
  2. send us the following details: Group name, country, continent, members
  3. a photo of you as a group

For those who will do the photo tributes, kindly send it to emceepurplemee@gmail.com with the subject "Berryz Koubou Tribute". Deadline of this one will be on January 30, 2015, 12 NN Philippine Time

If you have any questions or inquiries, feel free to message us in our page!

Michishige Sayumi's Graduation Tribute Plan!

Hi everyone!
I am so sorry for not keeping you updated in this site :(
Been too busy at school :/

Anyways! It's time to make our graduation tribute for Sayumin!
There are some choices you can pick to participate in this project!

  • You can take a picture of yourself while holding a paper, banner, or something with the message you want to tell Sayumi.
  • Do the Usa-chan peace and take a picture!
  • Do any cute poses which you think portrays Sayu's personality
  • You can also record a 5-second video clip of you saying “sotsyugo omedetou Michishige Sayumi-san”, “Usa-chan peace" (while doing the post)” etc.
  • If you're going to have many friends with you participating in this project, you can record yourself saying "Usa-chan peaaaace" while doing the pose. (Max of 5 seconds!)

REMINDERS!
  • You can do it individually, by pair, by group or you can do everything that is mentioned!
  • If you want to do the banner thing, please make it SHORT and READABLE.
  • If you have any Momusu or Sayumi merchandise (shirt, poster, cds, etc) include it in the photo you will submit.
  • This one is pretty important, and is the highlight for the tribute, WEAR a PINK SHIRT/OUTFIT/ACCESSORIES/ETC that you can wear.
  • Deadline for submission for the photos/videos will be on September 15, 2014 23:59 PH time
  • Send it to emceepurplemee@gmail.com with the subject "Michishige Sayumi Tribute"
  • Please state your country and your first name
I also made a video (more like a commercial xD) about the tribute we will be having.

As for the song that we will use, I invited an all girl group who's known for covering many H!P songs to cover Lalala no Pipipi. As we talked about the tribute song, we finally decided that 4 girl groups will do the cover together.

Here they are! All of them are from the Philippines~ You can check them out on their Facebook page :)

We will then send it to J-Melo singer search! Hopefully, they will include this to one of the episodes they will air.

This project will be so exciting since this will be a new collaboration between Chuu!Sugoi!Idol and the girl groups who cover H!P songs.

For more information about the tribute, feel free sending us a message in our Hello!Project FanPage

More comments on C-ute's New Found Skill

C-ute has taken their dancing prowess to a whole new level but there are mixed reactions from wotas regarding this whole pole dancing incident, of course, there's an inevitable mention of "Strip Tease"

Maa-chan attacks members of LoVendoЯ~

Only Maa-chan can throw statements like "Fattie" and "Will you be in your thirties soon, auntie" to someone she hardly knows....

60 Minutes with The Beauty; Sayumi Michishige Interview

This is the translation From her interview on Monthly Takarajima May 2014 vol 34, "60 minutes with the beauty"

Before, I've always looked at Sayu as someone self-centered, mostly because of her narcissistic personality and so I was really inclined when she became leader. But I'm happy that Sayu has proven me wrong, her being the leader had significantly changed my views towards her. She's a great person, someone you can really rely on not only as a leader but as a member.
