Happy 12th anniversary of Morning Musume's 7th single "LOVE Machine ( LOVEマシーン )"~!!!

Today(9/9) is 12th anniversary of Morning Musume's 7th single "LOVE Machine ( LOVEマシーン )"~!!! If my knowledge is correct, "Love Machine" was the last single of Morning Musume to reach #1 in Japan~!(Actually, "murr" corrected me and said "The last single to reach #1 in weekly oricon charts from Morning Musume was Shouganai Yume Oibito"~!!! Thank you for the correct information!) The first was In August of 1998, MORNING MUSUME reached the #1 spot in the Japanese pop charts with their single “Hold On Me”. In 1999, the group had their first nationwide tour with 19 performances in 7 cities for 40,000 fans. In September of 1999, MORNING MUSUME released their smash hit “Love Machine” that sold 1,646,630 copies and held the first place spot in the Japanese pop charts for 31 weeks. I know in the future, H!P groups can reclaim their rightful place in Japan and also world~!!!

"Love Machine" (LOVEマシーン Rabu Mashiin
?) is the seventh single of the J-pop idol group Morning Musume, released on September 9, 1999 as an 8 cm CD. It sold a total of 1,646,630 copies, making it a massive hit (a #1 single in Japan) and their highest selling single. In 2004, it was re-released as part of the Early Single Box and again in 2005 as a 12 cm CD. The single also marked the debut of the "Third Generation" member Maki Goto and the departure of Aya Ishiguro.

In 2008, a remade version of the song was released by Scott Murphy of Allister in his album Guilty Pleasures 3.[1] In 2009, the song was remade into Korean by South Korean girl group After School under the name "Dream Girl", and Avex Group posted a "RIKI version" by actor Riki Takeuchi on its official YouTube channel in celebration of the song's tenth anniversary[2].

    Love Machine is MM's best selling single, selling some 1.6 million copies and charting for 31 weeks.
