C-ute's 18th single "Aitai Aitai Aitai Na" was released last Sept. 5, managing to rank 3rd on the Oricon charts selling 28,455 copies on it's first day release! This alone has outsold the weekly sale of Edo no Temari Uta II (6th single) until Sekai ichi Happy na Onna no ko (16th single). This even outsold the first day sales of Kimi wa Jitensha which only sold around 17K on it's release day.
On it's second day, C-ute went down to #7 on oricon chart and according to a source it sold 4,815, so if that sales is true, this makes C-ute's total sales for 2 days, 33,270. So for now, this would rank 5th among C-ute's best selling singles basing on total sales.
1.Kimi Wa Jitensha - 46,096
2. Tokkaiko Junjuo - 40,128
3. Edo no Temari Uta II - 36,812
4. Namida no Iro - 34,890
5. Aitai Aitai Aitai Na - 33,270 (not the total sales yet)
I'm hoping this will be a new record for C-ute but I won't be keeping my hopes up, they have lots of tough competitor for this release, not to mention AKB48's Gingham Check is still on the running in the Top 10 in Oricon for this week. But nonetheless, seeing C-ute back on track with good sales makes me happy already! Crossing my fingers for a strong sales tomorrow,,,Maybe around 5k? LOL
So do you think they'll make it before the week ends?
Here's the breakdown of Kimi wa Jitensha's sales
1st day -17,362
2nd day- 7,083
3rd day- 3,511 copies
4th day - 3,180
5th day- 4,158
6th day - 2,931
Kimi wa Jitesha surprised me on how well it did but when I remember the promotion and the amount of versions I'm not so surprised.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see Tokkaiko Junjou and Namida no Iro are still on this list :)
